Is this for both servers or just one? If so, which one: Sage, not sure if it’s Golden too.

“Walled the nuke off for nukies so that it doesn’t TP with the ship, cucking the round. D/C when ship left without it. appeal on https://forums.beestation13.com/c/ban-appeals/10

Appeal Reason: I do not think the banning admin had the full story of this situation. Let me describe what happened.

  • I joined the Nuke Team as a ghost-role Syndie Engineering Borg.
  • Team decided to take the Drop Pod into station. They were trying to move the nuke to the pod so I tried deconstructing the floor underneath it, seeing if that would bypass the anchor.
  • It didn’t work, so I tried rebuilding the floor. [We would later discover this ALSO removed the nuke’s tile from being part of the ship, so rebuilding the floor did nothing]

There was no malicious intent involved in this action, nor did I disconnect after doing so. I played the round through and left after I died.

Additional Information:

  • We realized the nuclear device was back at the Snow Base after getting the disk. I guided the operative towards where to find it and we successfully retrieved the bomb.
  • (Another admin spawned us a second bomb after we lost the first one; there was a point where we had two bombs on the ship because of this. Either way, the round wasn’t “cucked”.)
  • I walled off the hole made by my earlier mistake AFTER we un-anchored and moved the nuke. Nuke was not in the hole when it was walled off; it was on the assault ship.
  • I died defending the nuke in T-Comms after I was ordered to bring it there and set it off. The nuke was successfully deployed; our team didn’t do a good enough job defending it and that’s why we lost.
  • I disconnected after being yelled at by the operative in deadchat, again, not for malicious reasons.

Yes, I made a mistake destroying the floor under the nuke thinking it could be moved. It was not with intention to screw the team over, and I did everything in my power to correct the mistake. And I SUCCEEDED in fixing the mistake, because we were able to get the nuke onto station three minutes before escape shuttle dock. I don’t believe this is a ban-worthy offense.

This permaban implies I was responsible for screwing up the round. We failed to defend the nuke after deploying it; simple as that. Our location at T-comms was announced over the radio and we should have picked a different spot, but it has nothing to do with my mistake with the floors. It would have been a syndicate win if we had placed it somewhere else.

If you check the round logs, you should be able to find a line where one of my operatives orders me to deploy the nuke. This would be impossible if I was disconnected at the time, and if the nuke was irretrievable. If it helps to find, I was killed by the captain while guarding the nuke. He may have bragged about it.

(As an aside, I was also the borg who took out the Research Server and set the Supermatter Engine to explode. This round was spent helping my team; NOT griefing them)

This seems genuine. I’d unban, he’s explained extremely well.

I can draw out the path I took during the round if it helps. The reason I didn’t realize our nuke was still at base is because I went with the Drop Pod team. Dropped in Medical, went to Research to kill the server, looped around space to mess with the Supermatter Crystal, then met the ship south of t-comms.

Only when I was onboard with our disk-bearing operative did I discover my mistake with the floors. We went home to grab the nuke shortly after, with mild mockery from a crewmember who was eavesdropping on our syndie comms.

Best unban application I have ever seen.
When you rebuilt the floor/wall with the RCD it build a solid wall rather than just the floor. So the nuke was inside a wall piece, which is what I believe kept it back at the snow base.
Granted will be done in next 30 secs.
Also removed the note

This is a reasonable explanation, as shuttles are very finicky, as I have discovered first hand before. I’d support an unban here.
