I’m gonna lock this for now, I think there’s enough info from involved parties and then some to make a determination when I get to the logs.
Alright, I’ve gone over most of the logs for the round. I didn’t get quite all the way through, but I’ve seen enough to wrap up this report and I want to make a few specific notes:
Stop screaming “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” over comms so that it takes up a substantial portion of the screen. This isn’t iconic, this isn’t funny, this is purely annoying. Any players doing this kind of spam as consistently as you do should already have gotten a warning even if they are a clown, but I don’t see one for you - Here it is. Doing it further will be treated as OOC spam.
You have been explicitly told by admins in the past that your interpretation of 309 is incorrect. Trailing people into secure areas is always against space law if someone is trying to arrest you for it. The only time it isn’t is if the prank was funny enough that nobody wants to arrest you. Do not bring this up as a defense again or it will be treated as OOC. Yes, I know it would make sense for a clown to talk their way out of being arrested, but this doesn’t come off as IC when you are immediately OOC upset about the consequences, especially since I know you disagreed with this.
You should definitely know better than to bring up threats or talk of potentially involving admins in LOOC. You have numerous salt warnings about this. The AI is following you around because you are spreading misery and annoyance to many and they are being asked to stop you by others. They are beholden to orders equally, and in cases of conflicting orders they get to make a decision to which is appropriate. AI are also forbidden from interfering with security operations in silicon policy without a valid justification for doing so, so refusal to modify your records is reasonable. You should not be OOC upset when you’ve been a trespassing nuisance and and you get set to arrest, and likewise shouldn’t be upset at the AI for not following your orders if there is a possibility of conflicting orders.
This was wholly unnecessary and not funny. This isn’t good clowning, this is goading someone. Learn to accept “no”.
You were shot with disablers multiple times by security.
IC specism is perfectly fine, but it only makes sense as IC when it’s consistent. If The Real Captain hates IPCs enough to throw slurs at them, it should be a character trait that they do to all IPCs. I ran a search on the current round and found you interacted with other IPCs normally. I ran a search on your last five months of rounds and found that you have only used the term on this character in three rounds total, and the other two it was a one-off passing insult.
It was used repeatedly and specifically against one player in this round, and I feel based on the logs you did target them. Nobody else got their items stolen when slipped, and as they reported you really did declare “HEY LOOK IT’S THE CLANKER” before running up to him, not just slipping but going out of your way to repeatedly shove and disarm him of his equipment he quickly picked back up.
I want to believe you didn’t intend it to come off as harassment, but when you make statements like this:
And then start a five minute shoving and lube contest with medbay while also throwing LOOC shade at people in medbay for daring to shove you while you’re talking:
Thank you for making a feedback thread, the next step is learning to accept not just the positive, but the negative criticism players leave for you there as well instead of treating it as invalid and dismissing it. The opinion of those you think are just here for “job simulator” are also valid. You can be a great clown, but at this point the only thing left for me as an admin is to start taking action. If you can’t learn from criticisms, the action will only escalate if/when this happens again.
In my closing note, I’m going to highlight a piece of escalation policy that may help others make their frustration clearer to you, since it isn’t always showing:
Trespassing: Trespassing is defined as being in any department you do not have appropriate permission to access (stolen access is not permission). Players who are trespassing are automatically the aggressor in any conflict that starts with someone who is assigned in the current department.
If you are dealing with an annoying trespasser, you can throw hands with them in order to get them to leave. If they throw hands back, you can reach for a weapon. Just remember that regardless of who throws hands first, unless you’re an antagonist you are responsible for getting them to medical care.
The clown has limited permission to border on self-antag without it being an OOC issue, but that doesn’t mean it has to be free of IC consequences. Get to beating the clown if the clown is aggravating you in your workspace and refusing to leave.
