How does Subversion of the Chain of Command work on lowpop if there is no command, as is often the case? Is it flat out illegal IC to make non-command crew into acting captain now?
The law states: “Disrupting the chain of command via either murder of a commanding officer or illegaly declaring oneself to be a commanding officer.”

I’d say that on shifts where there are no Command staff, someone can make themselves acting Captain, preferably IC, maybe with an election or something.
However, if someone then joins as Command, they’d be required to relinquish their role to the new acting captain.
