Apparently equipping myself with essential gear to do my job is powergaming, literally stated that wearing the cakehat and grabbing tools to do my job as a cargo tech is powergaming, what in the actual fuck man. Was fighting in self-defense after breaking into genetics to get monkey organs and got beat to death after multiple of the medbay staff started overescalation. Really an IC issue regarding crime and punishment not a muh 7 day look at his notes doe ban. Was confrontational in tickets because you were being irrational stating that I did the same thing last round, when all I did last round was pick up the captains jetpack which I found on the floor to explore space which is also apparently powergaming (as if the jetpack is better), and most of the shit i had on that round was to fight the damn cult anyway or explore space you absolute spengoloid. jew expunged based on last remarks

Cakehat is not essential, nor are greytiding tools (which I assume is what you meant by tools, you’ll have to correct me here if I’m wrong)

As people are expected to do their job, you are also expected to let people do theirs. If someone is manning a department, you must make a reasonable effort to solicit them for the service you require of them. If they are absent or unwilling to provide a necessary service or item, you are permitted to attempt to do it yourself, at the risk of IC consequences.

IC consequences include taking escalation steps against you, trying to remove you. This was done completely non-harmfully at first, then with kicks and punches until you were in crit. Someone came to save you and the moment you popped out of the sleeper you ran back for revenge that is not self defense.

If you are breaking into a department you don’t belong in it is normal escalation to try and remove you non-lethally (which they did), and if you return with a weapon (which you did after sleeper), they are allowed to defend themselves lethally and leave you dead.

Do not collect dangerous items, weapons, or tools “just in case”. Do not wear a hardsuit, riot suit, or similar bulky/uncomfortable armor for the entire round.

Regarding powergaming, I’m inclined to agree that taking the cakehat with intent to use it as a weapon (which you clearly did, since that’s what you used to get revenge) is powergaming the same way carrying an actual weapon is. it’s also ludicrously stupid that the cakehat is a good weapon and this should be changed so it’s just a vanity type item

Aight im not gonna lie i was pretty riled up when I made the last response and the response to the bwoink because I was just ganked by 2 guys for wanting to get bounties, and yeah im sorry about the salt but it happens when you get a 7 day ban. I actually am sorry and i didnt mean for it to overescalate, as for the tools I get them every shift because normally as a cargo tech you gotta make machines and build stuff, and when youre caught without them its kind of a pain. Does the cakehat really count towards powergaming it literally starts on the table in the bar, i pick it up every shift because it looks dope as hell when mixed with the monk suit and a cape (like my signature gimmick kinda thing). Dosent really help my case when im fighting an admins either does it. The dude literally shouldnt have intervened to begin with, a madman breaking into genetics to get monkey organs for bounties, they were a paramedic surely they shouldnt have gone charging into saving the damn monkeys and just listened and let me do my job, but no it over escalated extremely quickly as I can say it was my bad for that, especially since I had the cakehat. The paramedic may have given me mercy because carsoneagle aint a bad player but sure as shit that random ass geneticist wouldve ganked me on the spot. I know I need to put my aggresiveness into check because it ruins the round for some people yeah, my bad alright I actually apologise for my misconduct and I didnt mean to be so aggresive in the bwoinks but itd been a long ass day and I knew I shouldve logged off (you hit a point yah know)

Officially? No, but I think it should if it’s being used as a weapon, since it’s just as powerful as most actual weapons are + is conveniently stored on your head. If you take it just to wear it and never actually attack people with it? Nah it’s fine. I’m pretty biased against the cakehat even being as strong of a weapon as it is though. A birthday candle is not equal to a welding torch.

Probably, but he’s within his right to intervene. I had almost no issues with the interactions until the point you were healed and went for revenge. (Bit of an issue with breaking in before asking for monkey)

I think the ban should stick given your past issues with being aggressive as a whole, and I don’t see them reducing the ban length even if I suggested to anyway.
