Low-key no. When a miner is an antag or a target. Station progession grinds to an absolute halt unless someone takes over… (usually me).
I like building mechs and things for others. That stuff isn’t grown on trees. Unless botany is kept busy.
This is from my low-pop experience. You see a bartender doing stuff, chemist high of their balls with an empty fridge, doctor running around 3 bodies, geneticist confused with what is happening, scientist doing xenobio or R&D, and then one miner, engineer and cargo techie doing their job. On a shift with like 20 players.
Honestly… resources should be easier to come by… make it less of an painstaking issue to collect resources.
As a Geneticist you can do the work of a doctor if they are overwhelmed or entirely non-existant. Seen geneticists say “ain’t my job” to several people dying in medbay with zero medical staff on duty. Ŵanker! You’re in medbay at least!!
Once I had a chemist refuse to make mannitol pills because they were working on a personal milestone.
I think my character had internal crisis coming to the horrid realisation that their brain is slowly going to rot from the inside and there’s nothing they could do about it.
I usually do geneticists job by unlocking everything for humans, asking if anyone from any other species wants to unlock their gene, then basically be a powered up paramedic, and ocasionally give sec SA and TOlfaction. I’ve had people/borgs ask me to be a medic due to the lack of them though, and I always comply. It’s just more important to keep people alive than work on a minigame that’s reset every round.
Syndicate traitor idea. Hang out at Lavaland and RR anyone who does that!! At least hack the doors, wall terminal or ask the AI to unbolt. Or simply make a fake wall behind the table!!
Most popluar Final Fantasy games are outdated and show the worst that the jrpg genre has to offerings.
The only reason anyone cares about them is due to the stories which are mostly embrassing and shallow in hindsight.
The entirely of orignal Final Fantasy 7 which is filled with stupid as villian shit with the only interesting part being cloud’s backstory. However the gameplay in that game is insanely slow with actions taking forever to do (let’s not forget the one move that takes like fricking 3 mintues to do for no god dang reason!)
Final Fantasy 6 also suffers from grindy sections that completely kills the pace of everything. Speaking of which, random encounters are the stinkiest and worst game design feature ever and turn every game into a slog when they have them. What keeps that game up is it’s story being the best in the series though I personally feel like it could have fleshed out some of the characters better.
anything after that become an anime nightmare with the gunblades… blitzball…ugh.
The key thing about Final Fantasy it did devlope the basic design of like every jrpg ever which is kind of a shame consider how repeative and slow they made the sub-gerne.
