Want to take part in my sort of continuity based nukeops lite type event? Go to our discord, down to the temporary events category and ping the event running helper role to be added to either team. You’ll get access to a private channel to chat with your teammates.
Pinned at the top will be the team’s vital statistics:
Members - Literally just a list of who is on the team
TC - Telecrystals. For buying gear. You earn these during missions
Points - You earn these by winning missions. The team with the most points at the end wins.
Operatives - How many operatives you can field at once. You can increase this by paying 25TC.
Gear - what stuff you have, and have bought. You can buy anything in either the regular or nuke ops uplinks.
Once or twice a day, you will receive a mission, which your may choose to take. A mission has the following factors:
Timeframe - A real time over a few hours. If you don’t make an attempt at it by then, you can’t do it.
Objective - What you have to do to complete it.
TC reward - How much TC you will gain for completing it.
Points reward - How many points you will earn for completing it.
Server - Which server the mission takes place on.
Difficulty - Roughly how hard it’ll be. Higher estimated player population, harder objectives and being on LRP (thus having more of the station trying to stop you) raise the difficulty. Higher difficulty can also lead to more centcomm meddling, but it will be kept to a minimum until you go loud.
Should you choose to accept a task, your team will select who will take control of your operatives, and the list of their keys will be passed to the people running the event (again, event running helper) whenever you wish to take your attempt. Join the correct server, and your chosen players will be spawned on their shuttle with the team’s gear as detailed above. They’ll do the mission, and then jump away in their shuttle. Afterwards, drop your gear on the floor and it will be either saved or written down depending on if we can get the map template to work. The items that are saved/recorded are what you will have next time. Anything you use or leave behind will be lost, and anything you steal you get to keep.
If you die or are left behind, all your gear is lost and your team will have to pay a fee of 15TC. You will also have to pay a fee to fix your shuttle if it gets damaged, scaling depending on how many tiles were damaged/destroyed.
Some clarifications:
- Access Cards, Traitor objective items, Department budget cards, Phazons and the bluespace artillery do not carry over for balance reasons. Sorry.
- You may work together with traitors you encounter, and you may charge a TC fee, or other charge, for assisting them. Likewise, you can pay them TC or other gear for assistance.
- If you cannot afford the fee for lost operatives, the other team gets the difference. For example if you only had 10TC, you’d pay 10 and the other team would get the remaining 5.
- You must follow the antag conduct rules of a traitor on the relevant server. Don’t go onto MRP and gun down all of medbay for no reason.
- Contractor Kit is allowed, go nuts with it.
- In terms of crew, only syndicate cyborgs, ops and syndicate sentience potion spawns carry over.
- Do not play command or security roles during your team’s attempt at a task.
- If you cannot afford repairs, you will get a premade discount shuttle (with no repair cost) until you pay the repairs.
- Martial Arts and Implants are related to players. If you buy them, every time you play a mission you (and only you) will get your martial arts and implants. Basically, whoever buys them gets them and they are non transferrable.
Good luck.
