When my character arrived at the station, there was nobody there. Further, the power supply was dwindling. In fact, the chemist room had entered a low power state that disabled all equipment, including the chem generators. Obviously, he would be required to activate solar panels or something. He had to make his own entry because Chemistry doesn’t have the access to do this. But whatever had taken the other crew had to be protected against. This required some variety of gun.
Additional Information:
When I logged on, none of the jobs had anyone assigned despite the round having been running for about 50 minutes at the time. But the status said there were currently 2 players connected. This seemed to indicate that the other player was some variety of antagonist that didn’t even have to masquerade as a station employee. I couldn’t do anything in Chemistry because the APC had turned equipment to off. I was grabbing a gun to protect myself if the other character attacked when Beepsky got me. Since I was locked in a constant stun cycle and nobody would rescue me, I just disconnected.

Atmos.log doesn’t show you doing anything at all in terms of power unless you were using packman generators, which you weren’t.
So let me just lay this out in a nice timeline. You arrive. You ask if anyone’s around. A few minutes later you ask again. A grand total of 10 minutes and 35 seconds after you set foot on the station you’re in the brig getting a gun because the power ran out. You try to commit suicide twice. 24 seconds after your last suicide attempt you log out. Total elapsed time?
You obviously knew the wires to get into security. So why not fix power first? If you check your PDA it’ll show you everyone who’s on the station pretty much. It was a simple case of no crew. Server player count is OOC information. The crew manifest is the only way for you to IC know that you are not alone on the station. So, let’s add metaknowledge onto the ban reason too?

I’m not saying that people on their own on the station aren’t allowed to tide to fix problems, but beelining for the armory because “I’m alone and spooky and there’s 2 people who might be antags around” is still fucking powergaming.
Edit: Figured I’d calculate out total time. Connected at 856 seconds, DC at 1,549. 1549 - 856 = 693 = 11 minutes 33 seconds.
@GameAdmin second opinions?
The ban as a whole feels justified with the information presented here, but I’d like to point out the player is currently banned (two days ago) from CE for being incapable of setting up power so I can understand some reluctance to break into engineering in order to set that up. Ten minutes is also not beelining to me personally.
The ban makes sense to me logically, and while it is metaknowledge to use the player count, that also means in this specific case that they were the only actual player on the server and you, the admin watching them, were the number 2. This feels like a missed opportunity to engage someone in a horror setting before forcing the round to restart so that they could perhaps do something in their isolation.
While it is an R0 opinion, and counterintuitive to the crusade against poor RP I’ve been pushing for, I’d be acting dishonest to myself to say I support this ban with everything put together.
This is not a headmin ruling on the matter and I recommend getting additional opinions.
They’d been logged out for two hours with beepsky stunning them by the time that I found them in the armory.
This… really feels like a non-issue, or at least a really small issue. They’re on an abandoned station, with no other crew or anything around. There’s nobody to trouble or inconvenience, and nobody was harmed. Was rushing the armory perhaps a bit shit? Maybe. Would I accuse them of acting LRP to do it? Not really. When they’re completely alone, there’s no one to protect them, or to roleplay with, or to care.
Given the absence of related offenses in note history, I would support changing this ban to a note.
