Incident Description: Refusal to answer important questions, only restated their original ban reason, saying I already told you. Then further refusing to answer any questions in ban appeal.

Additional Information:

May be some inaccuracies, I am doing this from 2 day old memory. I’d be glad for someone to post the logs and ahelp logs.

I’ll admit, I fucked up while I was trying to follow the rules and got beaned, its not the fact that I got beaned its how they conducted the situation is why I am complaining.

Firstly, they bwoink me, they mention me fighting against a rogue AI as an engineer, saying its not my job and security should deal with it. I ask:

“So are crewmembers not allowed to deal with major station threats”

“Can you point me to a rule that says this.”

I recieve no reply except:

“I already told you”

Then I am banned shortly after.

Secondly I make an appeal, importantly in it asking these questions again a day and a half later they respond with only:

im not removing your ban

So now I am left with unanswered questions. How am I supposed to avoid making future mistakes when they refuse to explain their reasoning?

I do not expect admins to be perfect and completely without bias, but I feel like there was almost no effort put into either of these situations by Piterskiy.

as you see you have complete misinformation in your thread since i explained you several times what you did wrong

currently we have unofficial ruling which states that you can powergame, but only if:

  1. its confirmed nukies
  2. its blob or AI activated doomsday machine
  3. cult is completely dominating, all of security is dead and they already have halos over them
    basically, roundending scenarios

You mostly just repeatedly said that I was powergaming without explanation and not responding to my arguments. After the ban I was wondering exactly what part of this was powergaming, was it making a mech?, was it trying to deal with a rogue AI?

Turns out it is fairly complicated, but you barely made any attempt to explain it in the ticket and none at all in the appeal.

After a talk with Xlyana, I realized I had a chronic misinterpretation of the rules, mostly due to me seeing other players get away with a lot of shit I probably should have ahelped. However due to your lack of responses and question answering I would have no way to know that I was chorincally misinterpreting the rules without talking with Xlyana.

I’m asking for you to answer questions and attempt to explain things more, especially in an appeal. If I didn’t go out of the way to ask for it I would likely still have no idea that I was chronically misinterpreting the rules.

This does not seem strike or note worthy.

While being more descriptive in tickets is useful, yes, the adminPMs seem fair enough in nature.
