Meta station is ruining my immersion, why is it called “Meta”? Is it because it’s the station that everyone votes for when it’s a option? Should be changed to something more appropriate where I can be fully immersed in a SS13 setting, something like “Clown Fart”. Let the players vote for station names so they fit the setting more.
Everyone keeps voting for it whenever it’s a option, avoiding the better options like Corg and Rad station. I just wanna play on my map where I can trap people in rooms by blowing a hole in the floor, and where lone ops just die from the killer tree’s. I also just wanna memorize all the new maps, but can’t cause people just keep voting for fucking Meta. I can navigate Meta with a blind fold, and walk myself into medbay no problem. While I have no clue where a quarter of shit is located within Rad station, I’m too scared to be a engineer because I have no fucking clue where any of the leaks from the Atmos alarms are from.
So like a space station that itself is a shuttle? Though as I’m typing this, you’d have to put together multiple shuttles in order to make departments that are a reasonable size. You’d also probably just have the engineering department and command department to be the “base” of the station that would allow the departments to park at docks. Actually, my idea is starting to sound fun, in that kind of bad way that would only be interesting by the concept of it. Up until you have sec having to jump and be next to another station in flight to combat antagonists, having to deal with being knocked to the ground everytime the station parks, and the entire service department being killed when a miner lures megafuana back to the shuttle. Granted, I have thought of the perfect name…
I feel that this is two different ideas. My idea, of having a relatively small ship purposefully, and your objective is to go to signals and upgrade it into something meaningful over time, and your idea of having a little fleet/squad that travels together but can move around.
Meta is like a cheeseburger. It has all the elements a burger should have and it’s a nice template to work from. But there has been better, tastier burgers invented based in the cheeseburger
