Lethals were what I had so lethals were what I used. If I had any sort of nonlethal measures I would have used them but I did not. Seriously? 2 weeks for shooting someone I thought was a traitor? This is retarded, Ruko. Additional Information:
You entered department and gunned someone down under no premise other than the fact they were marked for arrest. They didn’t behave aggressively or even try to fight back after you started shooting. I’m not sure you really gave them the chance to though
If you had been disarmed of non-lethals by this player, or they had shown aggressive intent towards you, it’s okay to go for the crit takedown as sec, but just entering the department and gunning someone down because they’re wanted is not.
Trying to sec without even owning non-lethals is just asking for trouble because you’re not equipped to make arrests. A sec officer that decides to abandon or opts out of taking non-lethals is not any more allowed to gun players down.
Being insulting in the appeal isn’t going to get you any favors either.
You right it’s just fun to see how many different ways I can mess up your name. I don’t think I’m gonna top rukofamine though. And it wasn’t just because he was marked for arrest, all of sec was on alert for specifically Randy because we’d been told he was dangerous. The HOS was shouting about it. Don’t let him escape, check the pods, etc. You would have thought he was eswording the captain based on the way seccomms were talking about him.
As a bit of friendly advice, calling the person who’s responsible for unbanning you names in your appeal isn’t a great showing of good faith and doesn’t help you in the long run. We don’t want you to suck up to us, we just ask that you’re polite and show a bit of understanding during appeals. If you disagree with your ban, that’s totally fine, but you don’t need to be rude about it.
I checked your claim, I can indeed see someone yelling about randy over comms. They were a normal sec officer, not the head of security.

BUT, that doesn’t even really matter since you were clearly geared for killing instead of apprehending. Shooting the target with both a pistol and a shotgun. While Randy had a bit of confusion regarding their status as a traitor, unless the security level is red or delta, you are not meant to shoot first and ask questions later (Even then, you should have a pretty clear idea of who’s a traitor before just going in blasting). That is a violation of your standard operating procedure.
After reviewing this appeal itself, the logs on this incident, your recent reports for similar behavior, and given your frequent misconduct as a sec officer-- I think 2-weeks is fully justified here. Nothing said gives me the impression that if it was lessened that you’d behave better for it. I think taking a forced break from security is the right call.
