Here is the player report that resulted in the ban.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to grab the logs before heading to work, so a full reply is going to be tomorrow, but here’s a quick summary of what I saw:

  • You used your whip 165 times during the round, while there may have been a legitimate use somewhere in there, nearly all of them were just whipping or disarming folks for no reason at random
  • At one point you instigated a situation where you put someone into a stranglehold and started dragging them around. You then acted like you did nothing wrong since you never started actually strangling them.
  • While I didn’t end up using it because there were no specific timestamps within the round given, there’s also a video recording of the round posted in the report thread. I doubt this was presented without some level of evidence within it, even though I didn’t end up using it.
  • You were reported as making a bomb for powergaming in addition to the above - This was inconclusive and not included as part of the ban reason, but there is evidence you were in the bomb-making room and throwing parts around, so I’m curious if you have an explanation for that.
  • You had a fireaxe intermittently across 30 minutes, again inconclusive whether you had it the whole tiime or not, but there’s not a lot of reason to be roaming the halls with a fireaxe as curator. You never attacked another player with it, but it’s still a pretty threatening weapon to just stroll around with casually. Again, no proof you actually carried it with you during the whole timeframe listed, so I didn’t count this against you either.
  • There was no evidence of role-playing at all for the round in general, all of the above makes you a better fit for our LRP server, especially given the note record.

Why don’t you want to play on Golden? Why should we allow you to continue playing on Sage with the above?

This sounds like something i have done before i
aggresive igrab someone snd just started pulling them around one time not sure when

I have never made a bomb before in all my time on beestation h have made thngs that freeze an area with water vapor and such and on the occasion wben i ever was antag n20 and plasma single tanks

I dont even know where you got this from

The last couple rounds when i was curator i hit myself muttiple times because it causes the screaming sound and dosen’t do any damage to anyone maybe hit a few people with it but mostly myself

After reviewing the video thst round where i was curator mainly consisted of me hitting myself with a whip i hit soneone by the lathe as you can see in the video the other time is when i was in the brig apparently i was believed to be a rev and i was in the brig cell i did deny these claims he went to grab the box of Mindsheilrs anyway despite my protests i wipped the box out of his hands and put it in the locked closet most of that round was me in a brig cell by my own free will

A usual round of golden consists of lots of non antags rushing for AA and the best wepons and sec gear and people just randomly killing other people and its like in order to survive you must greytide emphasis i don’t want any of golden is to fast paced i like to be on the slower sidss of thing’s you can’t do that in gold.

I dont think i I ever done that before logs are certainly needled tor this one

Im human i don’t remember every single round I play what i did on a round is usually the least thing on my mind that curator round was over a month ago

Anyhow, point by point:

A singletank bomb is still a bomb, and you have definitely made single-tank bombs before - you even hid one in a plant for no particular reason just earlier this month. The following are the logs related to toxins that occurred this round:

Not posting every attack, but here’s a few spread out examples of your using the fire axe that round, as well as the log of it being stripped off of you that I didn’t previously see.

It’s much harder to post logs that prove you don’t RP at all, since that’s more of a behavioral thing over time, but I don’t think there’s anyone that would support the claim that you like to RP on the RP server.

Seems like a clear violation of:

2 - Use Common Sense

4 - You Must Roleplay

and

5 - Don’t Self Antag

Clearly no intention to behave like an actual human being on Sage, potential attempts at grief and randomly attacking people, plus maybe minor powergaming.

I’d suggest this sticks.

I mean, i had a few encounters with Omar and it was funny, no beef or grief between us.

Curator is mostly an assistant with library access, running around whipping yourself is what 50% of curator players do ( when there is nothing fun in space on gps).

I think perma sounds a bit harsh on that one, although this appeal doesn’t look good so far.

Failing to recall a couple details is one thing, but outright lying repeatedly is incredibly garbage behavior.

Not that “I’m sorry I won’t do it again” is going to get anyone unbanned, but it’s a hell of a lot better than lying about shit in a game that is so extensively logged.

Which is true the whip does no damage not even to people like how hitting someone with an artistic toolbox could be and has been considered a prank in the past and how hitting someone with a bike horn is okay it does no damage to the other player its fine

Something new i found out and decided to test out detonated one in the testing lab while showing a fellow scientist

That last one is 100% a lie since I remember it vividly, you bring a plant to sec as a non antag and ask me(the mime) to place it outside the wardens office. I do, it starts beeping and unleashes a small plasma fire. Not very lethal but it still caused a lot of heat in the brig
