I was gang lieutenant. I threw some one on a burning pile eho I recognized as a person ‘trying’ me in general when I play. I didnt harm anyone after they got converted. I also dont see the use of going through hoops to convert every single person.

Now regarding rules. You proceeded to ick ock my antag status and cry in OOC for a good ten minutes, several people telling you to shut up. Ironically you made some smug comment in the sense of go ahead make a complaint admins dont care, lrp is dying anyway.

I dont like ahelping or making complaints and Im just busy in general so I wouldnt waste my time on it anyway. But woops salty boy who breaks rules makes a complaint uh ooooh time to find out whats what

There is still the matter of him killing a member of his own gang. Yes we have an icky ocker but dont disregard the issue at hand. A veteran player such as max knows when someone else is in their gang, and whether they like it or not there are rules to follow while antag

From what I see it was less than a minute more like 20 seconds since he was converted

My problem is I don’t know if he intentionally threw him on the fire. It was less than a minute after he was converted that he threw him. It’s a shitty thing to do sure, but I don’t fault a gang member killing a head of staff. Plus he was already likely on fire as he used an extinguisher on himself or somebody beforehand. That likely brought him down to crit, where he was thrown again.

I wasn’t the HoP, I was just an assistant. I never said I was the HoP.
I was in medbay when Owen chased the HoP into the medbay whilst shooting at him, I pushed Owen once at which point he stunlocked me, dragged me out of medbay into the main hallway and threw me onto a burning corpse whilst keeping me stunlocked as I burned. The only reason I managed to extinguish myself is that he started stunlocking another person whilst I wasn’t in crit yet. Dragging me to another location to throw me onto a burning corpse and keeping me stunlocked whilst I burned seems pretty fucking intentional to me.

Antag Conduct (LRP)

“Revolutionaries and Gangsters should not murder potential converts, meaning non-mindshielded, non gang personell should be detained or beat into a critical state for conversion. Conversion resistant races, like Plasmamen for revs or IPC’s for gang are difficult to impossible to convert, and may be treated as if they were mindshielded.”

Owen made NO attempt at converting me whilst I was able to be converted. He obviously broke this council ruling.

In the middle of Owen trying to throw me onto the fire again I got converted by another gang boss from his own gang, yet he threw me anyways and made no attempt at saving me. I could have been saved yet he left me to die anyways, making it obvious that it wasn’t a mistake but intentional.

In Owen’s first post this thread he says “I threw some one on a burning pile eho I recognized as a person ‘trying’ me in general when I play”. So now we have somebody breaking the antag conduct council ruling, intentionally teamkilling his gang members and admitting to doing it all because of some metagrudge. Yet the only thing you can come up with Rod is that I told people in OOC that he was doing this shit and should be aware.

I wasn’t the only person he throw onto that fire without any attempt made at conversion either, if you check the logs he was throwing another person inbetween throwing me too. Trying to kill two people with no conversion attempt made as gang boss seems pretty murderboney to me.

Not sure what the issue here is. I didn’t harm you without any escalation or kept you out of the round by locking you up somewhere. You killed me and dealt with it IC. I didn’t break any rules because of a metagrudge, unlike you.

When I first threw you on the fire you werent part of my gang. If you at some point before death were I didnt notice and it mustve been very shortly before death(wounds you were most likely going to succumb to anyway.

I did convert several people but didnt feel like converting you after you tried your whole shove and stalk deal and got between me and the HoP. This wasnt even as some grudge (I just recognized your sprite, same as I would don arbuckle who also does retarded shit and I wouldnt feel like wasting my conversion pen cooldown timer on) who wouldve guessed that interfering with antags might get you killed.

Ick ocking and sperging out in chat, then roundstart the next round running to some one, chainflashing, cuffing, kidnapping and disposing their id, pda etc and also repeatin this after I get free (effectively sabotaging my iaa round before the first minute of the round so to say has even ended seems pretty metagrudgey to me.

I’m only speaking up again because of the volume of text here and the potential for the real complaint to get lost; You just admitted to violating antag conduct. No one cares if you dont WANT to convert him. Rules clearly state you cant murder someone you dislike while hasnt tried to murder you.

Debatable espcially when

The gang conversion pen has a cooldown, if you’re in a brawl and see a juicer target, you might not want to waste it on an assistant. It’s probably more worth your time to kill the assistant to get the HoP. The rules state that you SHOULD convert before murder, not that you ALWAYS have to.

Quality rule lawyering right here. You are arguing here that just because the word should is used instead of must the whole rule is invalid and can be disregarded at will. He could just as easily have incapacitated me in some way instead of killing me, as this rule says you should. Completely ignoring the intent of the ruling here because it is inconvenient to you right now. It doesn’t matter that the HoP is a ‘juicer’ target, the ruling states that you should not murder potential converts as Owen did do. Rod, do you think council rulings exist just to be ignored?

Your logic for why in this situation his behaviour is correct is pretty fucking bad too. You say it was justified since his choice was between me and the HoP. This was not a time sensitive situation. He could easily have waited until the pen reset and went after the HoP. He wasn’t fighting both me and the HoP at the same. There was no fucking ‘brawl’ at all. Owen didn’t even fucking convert the HoP himself so he didn’t even need to save his pen. You are pulling all this reasoning out of nowhere instead of responding to the fact that OWEN ADMITTED TO KILLING ME BECAUSE OF A METAGRUDGE

He chased the HoP into medbay, I pushed him once. He stopped chasing the HoP to drag my ass out of medbay, into the main hallway, throw me onto a burning corpse and keep me stunlocked right there. His priority was clearly not converting the HoP since he completely abandoned that chase in order to kill me.

You are also completely disregarding the fact that he TEAMKILLED me. He threw me onto the fire again after I had been converted by his fellow gang boss. He made no attempt at saving me or not throwing me in the first place, despite the big ass gang logo hovering over my head. Is teamkilling suddenly allowed because you say it was a fucking oopsy?

I’d like a headmin to come in here in and handle this case, since you keep making excuses in order to avoid having to say anything negative about Owen. And not the same shit like in that Enthethan report where you come in against claiming to have talked to a headmin and repeating what they said.

Just to clarify why I am calling Rod biased.
He first claims that Owen’s kill was valid because Rod thought I was the HoP and heads of staff are always valid to gang or some shit. This is clearly not true, this is just blatantly disregarding the council ruling.
Next he starts rule lawyering that because the council ruling uses the word should instead of shall and I was ‘a waste of a conversion pen’ that Owen’s kill was valid because of that. Again just disregarding the council ruling because of some technicality he imagines.
In the meantime Owen confesses to killing me for some kind of metagrudge and doing it even after I was converted to Owen’s gang, yet Rod manages to completely overlook this.
I call all of that pretty fucking biased.

You were already in hard crit when you were converted. It’s not his fault literally no one else decided to help you.

You stopped him from doing his gang activities? You weren’t a part of his team at this point, this is what killed you and no one else helped you how is that his fault? Look at the tiles he throws you at. They’re all pretty close to each other. I don’t have a replay to know exactly where the burning body is at I can only go by the logs.

He settled a grudge he had with you in the same round. He did it before you were converted and threw you again when you were -73.2 HP. Instead of saving you, he helped convert other people.
