This should have been fixed on the last batch of box fixes but somehow the changed was reverted before merge. I did adress this change but I mistakenly undid it, its even listed on the changelog
Pretty sure that’s Intended now, As sad as it is they are a Glorified paramedic now. I stopped playing the role after I got tired of having to grab everything i require from across the station and bugging the chemist for basic meds that they should have in their locker.
How many meds you need that you have to bother the chemist? Brig phys starts with a bag full of manual meds and in their locker there is a pill bottle of kelotane. Print a saw and retractor from lathe, grab a bottle of bicardine from med storage, anti tox syringe or two and (at least at the beginning) youre good to go.
Also no, surgical duffel bag is meant to be in every phys office.
Did you know that’s Randomized? There is Different types of Med kits everyround. If there is only one type of brute I leave it. Since the role isn’t to be in medical They shouldn’t take Vital items and having to bug the chemist when they are already busy making Sleeper meds and other advanced stuff is ehh, I’ll gladly ask for stuff In the middle of the round when the chemists have nothing to do always did since i was the type of player to use All my Kelo and Bicardine pills for the officers, Trailing behind them, Offering pills and care.
And if the Surgical bag is supposed to be in every office you better be checking maps, It’s been a while since i played but i think more the half of the maps Lack it.
Medbay rarely ever runs out of those supplies and when they do its because some kind of disaster has struck. Not like those few pills or patches i take are gonna make that much of a difference but you do you.
Bold of you to assume they actually do that
but yeah, i get ya.
There was a PR that added a few missing ones so it shouldnt be THAT bad. I’ve yet to play brig phys on every single one since but i guess i could check on local.
there’s currently an influx of new chemists and a lack of experienced ones that actually want to play chemistry at the moment. Atleast from what I’ve saw. Most medbay shifts i’ve taken the past week have rarely had their sleeper chems, or any chems, created
