Incident Description: Hoo boy, this is gonna be a BRUH moment. lets start.

Cult round, LRP. I latejoin as HoS, see people confirming its cult and go gear up and do all the stuff that I need to do. About 20 minutes into the round when I`m patroling the station, some Unknown dude without an ID on him and with a balaclava over his face starts following me. We run around the station like 2 times but he still does not stop following me. I drop my shotgun, do an epic taser quickscope and tell him to stop following me ( not even cuff or arrest him or whatever). I do not see him again untill later in the round, after the lawyer told me that this guy was bothering him and that he was confirmed cult ( although I must say that the lawyer was probably very new and confused because his reasoning for that Unknown man being cult is “he hit me with a bible and blinded me” or whatever. So im absolutely on high alert and in valid mode now. The next time I see that Unknown is near sci when I see him dragging someone horizontal away. I take out my lethal shotgun ( because obviously all that stuff going on with him is FAR too shady and I should just lethal him now since when he was following me last time he had a spraybottle filled with something and unknown and I saw him do what looks to be like dragging away someone for conversion into cult). I try to lethal him but get knocked down and drop my gun. He takes my combat shotgun and for some reason empties it on the floor (bruh). So I use my taser to finish the job and beat him to crit. He says something to the effect off LOL I EMPTIED ACCIDENTALLY. I kill him and his deadwhisper was “tfw im not even cult”. So I am thinking to myself: fuck did I just do a bruh moment. So I look in this guys bag, he had his ID and PDA stashed there with the name Kim Jong Un or whatever. So I drag him to medbay where he gets defibbed but to no avail because he already ghosted. And after all that Kasual bwoinks me explaining how this guy was not valid at all and that my job as sec is to arrest and search people.

Additional Information: The main thing about this is that this is kinda of an edge case. Yes, the dude was not explicitly valid but looking at all the factors in play he might as well be. I even had the realization that this dude might be validbaiting and banbaiting because curving the rules like that is not really gamer.

Also Kasual should stop enforcing MRP rules and behaviour on LRP. I had a very slim chance of actually taking this dude non lethally since he already had my shotgun in hand and there was a possiblity of him actually being cult and just straight up murdering me with his cult bros. The only way there was to go lethal and I` ve even shown explicit interest in trying to bring that dude back into the round but he ghosted out instantly.

Also the part about me using sec jobs to just murder people 4noraisin is overblown. I do rarely arrest people as sec yes, but its LRP and all the kills im making with me boomstick I make sure to be 100% percent justified and valid.

Also how the FUCK is this bwoinkable? he had the shotgun, and was probably going to kill average joe, and since nonlethals (tazers and disablers) are so fucking terrible that any antag with a stamina reset (CULT) can completely ignore them (along with traitor, wizards, lings, nukeops - oh wait thats all of our antags).

Please stop banning people for using lethals when nonlethals are so terrible, and it can be justified from the situation.

And I’m not enforcing MRP rules on LRP. MRP this would have been more allowed. LRP follows hard validity.

This quote here literally means killing him on LRP is not allowed, but killing them on MRP may be.

Very explicitly you cannot use hearsay or an offhand comment to make someone valid. You had them in crit and kept attacking. You tried to lethal a guy without any validity, and then used the fact he tripped you and took the gun as hindsight justification.

You had stunned them multiple times. By your own admission they got the shotgun after you were using lethals on them.

Further, why is this an admin report and not a ban appeal.

Then you strip them. At no point, not at all once in the round, did they so much as shove you. You used hearsay and the fact they were following you as cause to try and kill them. That is not validity and breaking LRP rules 100%. You have notes in the past two months of throwing a clown into an SM, and killing gang on station as hotel sec.

Again though, I am treating this as a ban appeal. Why is it an admin report?

I was the pearson in question and he is lying he never got “knocked down” i sliped him.Also i never draged an body with me??? Dude just saw me in the hallway and i sliped him and stole his gun and emptied at the floor and sad “lmao your gun is empty” and then he crited me and beat me to death despite me not attacking him once???

What admin conduct rule was even question though? I’m very against badmin corruption. You can ask any others in admin staff. That said, there needs to be some basis for it.

1.13 for reference is the following.

  • Do not resolve tickets/reports about you.
  • In addition, do not punish a player who broke a rule against your own character and instead leave that to another admin.
  • Ensure tickets and situations are handled equally across all players.
  • Any form of bias in dealing with players is not tolerated, favoritism from players or other staff should not weigh in the decision making process.
  • Any and all bans/notes/strikes/basically ADMIN related issues, whether from Discord, the server or the forums, are to be discussed and carried out on Text/messaging instead of VCs in order to log whatever is discussed/talked * about. Under no circumstances are issues regarding ban appeals, strikes or note appeals be discussed in a public nor a one-on-one text/VC chat, and when an agreement/result is reached, it shall be posted for the public in order to maintain transparency and consistency/coherence with the admin team.

There’s a thing as rule 0, where admins can ban without a rule being broken because they feel like it benefits the server.

Then why can’t admins be reported without a specific conduct, the conduct itself not really covering every field itself.

I am sure there are cases that fall outside of the listed rules. I have no issue with a report not lining up specifically with something. I’m just missing any accusation of misconduct at all.

Unless it is the “don’t enforce MRP rules on LRP” but as I’ve shown and explained that wasn’t the case by any reasonable understanding. The entire argument was why what they did was valid in their eyes, not anything about me doing something wrong. That is a ban appeal not an admin report.

I’m not really a fan of the ss13 system of having the banning admins handle their own ban appeals (hnngg self interest). But a report against you is still a report. However valid you might think it is.

I meant that more as there was no action on my part to defend, only their actions to prove and show reasoning on. Not that I was discarding it as an admin report, just that I realized after responding that in the entire thing there was nothing actually being reported/accused about me.

@everyone We’ve decided to add a rule 0 for both servers which reads as follows: Admins have the authority to “ignore” rules when they feel it’s in the best interest of the server/playerbase. They will, however, be fully accountable for their actions. Listen to them without argument during the round, but if you feel there is a problem with their actions, report them on the forums afterwards.

The above rule has been added to crack down on people toeing the line as well as to close some minor gaps we may have regarding very specific situations. To follow up on this, the Admin Conduct page will be made public after some revision and updates.

Additionally, some clarification on viruses:
A non-antag who releases a virus with debilitating symptoms such as stunning coughs, or coughing that make you drop items etc. is self-antag on MRP while making you valid on LRP.
