First of all, i want to add that this is my first appeal that i am doing, so i am sorry if something is not correct / missing.

Ban Reason: On sage, “Practiced plasmaflooding for malf AI” by N2O flooding the station, ruining the round for a few cultists. Try this on a private server next time and not a live round. Server ban from MRP due to multiple MRP infraction notes prior to this AI ban.

Appeal Reason:
Let me start saying that i am sorry. This was, in fact, a very idiotic action from my part.
So, let me tell my story: I was an AI, as usual because it’s one of the roles that i like to play.
I will try to be fully honest and tell my side. I was setting up the pipes at atmos and try to flood only one room, as i was following a guide (I have the guide link if you want me to share it here or Discord). I managed to do it and fill a room with NO2 and that was it, i turned everything off and went back to my normal duties, i also wanna add that i probably add the pipes open for only 30 seconds max i am pretty sure… I started the notice that the station was filling up somehow, as i had turned it off, so i begin to turn on the Air alarms to siphon / Contaminated mode and try to remove the gas from there. Somehow, it was still filling up or just simple not going away… That’s why i kinda think that possible, i didn’t flood the whole station. It is very likely that i am just dumb and i was missing anything or doing anything wrong to take away the gas.
I am especially making this appeal just because of the ban duration, considering that i am relatively new and i am really enjoying playing on this server.
Also, responding to possible “You should have gone to Golden to learn”, you are right i could, but i don’t have as much fun and learn as i do at sage.

Additional Information: I have tried to make a private server but didn’t really suceed. The reason that i was experimenting it on the server was because in my head, i was just sure that i was impossible for me to ruin anything, i was following a guide and even the tips from the BeeStation discord. My action was for sure not trying to ruin everyone’s round, and, incase you are reading this and you were on that round, i am truly sorry if i managed to ruin the round, as it was not my intention.
I also found out that i have a lot of warnings, which i also did not know.
Again, and i am very sorry for what happen today. Didn’t mean it.

Look, you have 138 hours on our server.
That should be a reasonable amount of time to atleast understand the basic of atmos and knowing this a bad move no matter how much you phrase it

This is enough evidence for a permaban, especially for the reason seeming so suspicious.
But I have had previous interactions with you and you do seem genuine in your appeal and ticket while also trying to fix the mistake you made, but even with that you need to understand you can’t just “practice plasmaflooding”

And because I’m afraid you’re too good of a gamer, you should probably wait this one out.

As I said in the DMs we had (please try not to DM me about bans if possible. Quick questions or explinations are okay though) you are showing a history of bad RP behavior quickly. While I do believe you are new, and making mistakes is a big part of learning in this game, the context looks bad. Ethnius themselves seems to have given you some slack as well for noting your newness.

Here are your current notes that escalated this from a simple note to an MRP ban however.

[2020-05-22 16:38:18 ] accidentally killed someone because they shot them with wrong syringe. overall powergaming by carrying deadly poison mix for “self defense”

[2020-05-17 16:09:02] Tried to detonate the nuke as a Captain on a nuke ops round. Ban from heads if they show to be incompetent more.

[2020-05-17 02:55:00] As a Head of Security on Sage, with the help of a security guard beat the mime into crit for trying to get their attention since they couldn’t speak. then executing them right after for picking up their disabler in the heat of the moment.

[2020-05-12 15:43:24] gave someone a plasmafire nade because they asked for one

[2020-05-12 13:52:47] Tried to forcefeed someone mindbreaker toxin, very new. When this person attacked them, made a small grenade and threw it at them.

These notes show a very bad history with MRP rules. If staff didn’t believe you were actually new and learning, you most likely would have been perma’d from sage for this incident based on them.

I agree the ban should stay, and if the rules broken were because of actual misunderstandings or mistakes, you should most likely review the rules a fair amount while the ban is in place. I really don’t like seeing people who want to enjoy RP and the game in general banned, but these issues negatively affect other players outside what is allowed and need to be considered appropriately.

First of all, thanks everyone for replying.

I know i have a good few amounts of hours on the server / game (this was my first server), and i really don’t know anything about atmos. Yesterday, i tried to play atmos and well, i ended up on perma for nothing, as i was afk in that moment. I was playing that round as atmos just to learn about So, this could have been probably avoided if i hadn’t been arrested for no reasin, it just things that happen. Just to add, all of this happen because as the first time i was Malf AI, i wanted to do my objectives and couldn’t because i did not know. I really just wanted to learn but well, ended up ruining the round for many people and I’m sorry.

I know that a have already a few notes and i don’t really have anything to say except that i fucked up a few times.

I guess there’s nothing else to do except wait my ban out…

I was playing this round deadminned, I spent a token to be a Revenant.

I noticed a large amount of N2O, it covered several areas in the station completely, including main hallways. I didn’t ahelp it, I presumed works like this could only mean someone was a trait and had either done it themselves, or subverted the AI to do so. After learning of this clear self-antag afterwards, were I not to be deadminned and playing I would auth any ban for this. As Rev I think alone I mannaged to give at least 5 people the good succ due to this alone. Not to mention the grief it caused so many people without me. If this was plasma and not N2O I would be permaing for this as at least 50% of the station and crew would either be on fire or in space.

Yes, it* got pretty much out of control. I accept my ban as being banned for 1 month is already pretty lucky.
It was N20 only. There was no plasma.
