Why not both? Neither job is guaranteed to be filled and both can print a light replace and spawn with ones. Plus, it is simple enough maintenance for a janitor to do and… it is actual maintenance of the station. Do your job, Engineers.

Engineering maintains the funny rock, the air supply, machines, and structural hull integrity.

The wiki, also over 100 hours of engineering. Would I do it if it’s really bad? Yeah, but I do a lot of tasks that aren’t my job to help my co workers out

On the Wiki you are told to do everything that has anything to do with repairs. Like broken lights.

SOP rule 6 tells you to attempt to repair non-essential equipment, such as lights. Although I would couldn’t them as essential which would then either way fall under SOP rule 5.
Hell, you’re even supposed to fix floortiles.
Hehehe i fix lights and floor tiles as janitor because i hyperfixate on tiling maints
