Tot viro had 2 steal objectives, created and released a phage / slime virus resulting in death of most of the crew, who were weakened by a malf AI already. Murderbone without hijack
More like i myself got accidentally infected with it in mourge (was gonna infected the bodies and leave it there while i went off to steal my stuff) since phages spread fast but are not really dangerous in small numbers
I accidentally touched one of the bodies and then ran to viro to quarentine and ask for a cure… a moth doc asked me why i was infected and then came close and got infected… then a miner came next to the doc and got infected and it was a lost cause from there.
AI had apparently flooded the station with hot air aswell so chemistry was burning us all alive and CMO was not using their suit to go make the meds.

ended up causing chaos…

I was using my suit but chemistry had spicy air in it and i was unable to stay there long enough to do any cure. (fun fact cmo suit doesnt protect from heat. I decided to use medibot to heal me while doing the cure but someone ran next to me and infected me, while also beign a pacifist the germs were deadly for me and i was unable to stay there alone and long enough to survive… additionally the rest of medical equipment was destroyed.
Was this ever handeled IC? I see a lot of people get noted or banned even if their actions and murderbone was caused by an accident, it’s still Virologist’s responsibility to not let virus out/not even create a virus capable lf that.

Im so curious how a phage virus would even help in steal or kill objectives, phages as far as i remember, usually attack everyone in sight, that will result in murderbone 100% of the time.
Even if solely infect targets and security, phages will end up harming or killing crew. I also remember that their bites transmit the virus even when transmission is injection only.
I mean it was hands down the most effective murdering of the entire crew i’ve ever seen, beating out plasmafire, bombing with maxcaps, or even just a wizard in the halls. It effectively created an unstoppable chain reaction resulting in most of the crew dying. It was magical, i was only observing too. But the damn traitor tasks weren’t the right ones, making it nasty instead of genius.

I haven’t looked into the logs yet but it is overall fine to make lethal viruses as a virologist, even as a non antagonist. But, you’ll be held responsible if the crew gets infected and dies as a result of it.

It’s your fault in the end, but accidents happen. I’ll look into this further and confirm/resolve it with logs later this week.

Alrighty lets break this down. As is obvious in the logs a ton of people got infected with your virus. Ontop of that you did meet the lethal thresholds for the macrophage disease and the fever/sneezing disease (not sure if they balance each other out). The macrophage disease was pretty stacked though as is visible in my screenshot.
As i said previously, lethal viruses are fine to make as a virologist but you’ll be held responsible if it breaks out.
