The difference is in the middleman who handles the ahelp. You (the person who is getting talked to) in many cases don’t know who you offended in particular or what they told to the admin. Personally, I would assume one or more people got pissed off enough to contact a staff member over an external platform, who may have only a twisted view of what happened due to having talked only to one of the parts. (also, you can convince yourself that “noone saw that, right? ” if you get told off in LOOC)
Also I have been the one who was told to fuck off in LOOC. I believe it was Ambiic (I think?) who I was trying to rizz up IC to get access to the server room. It was a bit embarassing, but now I know that I need to cut some shit, with him at least.

I very much agree with this. It can be really hard to tell if what you are doing is frustrating others, and yet so few people actually ever communicate that you are doing something bad. Almost all people don’t want to make others feel bad, but there’s nothing You can do to improve if no one ever communicates you are doing anything wrong in the first place.
I would very much like to see looc used more, even just for absolutely normal gameplay. Honestly, I’d really like if there was some sort of kudos system, where you could let someone know ooc that they are doing something fun!

That’s a problem of Command and Security. As a captain I’m all up for stopping these acts, but as soon as the round hits 30 minute mark shit will hit the fan. Even a single good traitor can destroy entire station solo. Meaning that Command does not have the time to handle these simple acts of HR problems.

Security:
Current shifts are lacking loyal security officers who let players sometimes get too far. Every time I see something go too far, I try to order arrests on all the people, but the usual response is they ignore the people who are doing it. This is caused because the group of weird acting people is just too big to be arrested with cuffs (6 assistants ready to jump you).
Command:
Commanding officers, sometimes forget that they are part of a command chain and just get focused on their own projects. I see shifts where CE/RD/CMO just don’t join in on the conversations regarding the current active crisis on board. I believe every commanding officers, should be ready to aid the crisis in anyway can whenever they can find a way how.

Personally I wouldn’t say I enjoy it per se, but it is fun to RP around it. Same goes for mia’s shenaniganery, though i wasn’t there personally for some of the more questionable shit. From what I’ve seen, some of what she has done would have gotten even me to looc complain to them.
Though my honest opinion is this: Let 'em do whatever so long as the rules ain’t broken. I will not interfere as long as you aren’t breaking the rules or another player is complaining.

It summed up to the implication that masochism was what the Techie was into and their repeated Medical visits were a result of finding someone who’d indulge that for them, I stress here, I managed to toe the line on humor, which is what lead to the LOOC exchange but if I was any less polite in my demeanor It would have definitely lead to getting slapped with a note or worse, If you’re going to be Weird go into potentially uncomfortable territory for a joke, make sure to be polite, have course correction ready be that adjusting of topic/tone or outright stopping and accept the fact that you are doing something which may get you in trouble, accept that with grace
