Incident Description:
Started as RD gang leader, immediately I pen the scientist Crabus in the sci lobby and they “resist” the pen. So I figure he’s another gang leader, and shortly after kill and his body gets spaced by one of my gang. A while later his body gets found, he’s revived and outs me to the crew as an antag.
But then I find out at round-end that he’s not a gang boss, so I didn’t need to take that risk and kill him in the first place. Whilst looking into him more I find out that he voluntarily convinced an admin to perma roleban him from conversion roles.
Now everytime it’s a conversion antag he gets to cuck their round by being unconvertable because he’s not willing to roleplay. “Oh what’s that Mr. Cultist? You spend time, effort and risked outing yourself to try to converting me? Sucks to be you, I opted out of being converted”. Being able to opt out of being brainwashed is retarded.
This is a pretty difficult case if all accurate. Based off surface impressions I don’t think it is against rules, but certainly poses a problem that will need to be looked into and addressed somehow.
I know that getting converted to cult makes you go braindead and offers you to ghosts. It would make sense for that same behavior to work with other conversion antags.
@bloons3 He’s also banned from Monkey and Servant of Ratvar it seems, were you able to test those too?
For now I’d say remove Gangs from the voluntary ban plus Monkey/Servant of Ratvar depending, since until it gets rectified codewise it just cucks the converting antag.
Not sure if this breaks any rules per se, but I definitely feel that this is a really shitty situation. I’d be in favor of a more fleshed-out policy surrounding this type of situation.
It is all in game information he had, it was just allowed by a fault in code. Going to close this out without action on CrabRave, but we’ll need to push the antag conversion change to Gangs as well since it seems to be the only one that allows this to happen.
