Does concentration matter? Like if I drink 5u of something like vitrium froth diluted with water, will that be the same as 5u of pure froth?
And what if I apply it to something? If I want to speed up with growth by using sugar, do I need pure sugar for that or does adding sugar that comes from polypore mushrooms, which have a lot of contaminants, also work?
When you add reagents in a beaker you drink a part of all reagents, so if you drink 5 u of something diluted with water, you will eat half water half that chem. You can grind stuff that has chems in it and use a chem/condimaster to separe the reagents.
Thank you :D. So if I have 2 things, one of 5u and one of 7u, will I just drink half of both or will I drink 2.5 of both if I choose 5 units for transfer?
You can’t change how much you cand rink per sip but I think each sip is 5u so yes you would drink 2.5 of each
Alright, thank you. So if I have 2u of space drugs and 15u of water and I’d transfer that, I’d have a beaker with 12 water left?
Okay nevermind just tested it out and it gave me 0.588 of the less reagent and 4.411 of the other one. I think it does some werird math…
Percentages maybe? Filler
It’s done by proportions. If in a mixture there’s 60% chemical A and 40% chemical B, and you transfer 5 units, then those 5 units be 60% A and 40% B, transferring 3 units of A and 2 units of B over. Transfer 10 units, 6 A, 4 B. 15 units? 9 A, 6 B. If you have a mixture with equal parts of 10 different chemicals, and 5 units are transferred, then there’ll be half a unit of those 10 chemicals each in the transferred amount.
Ah, alright, thank you very much :D. I was hoping to be able to get rid off some leftover chemicals by just mixing it, but sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case.
No, the only way to do that is to place the container in a Chemmaster
(or the bartender/cook/botanist’s condimasters) and teleport the seperate chemicals individually into the machine’s buffer.
And drinking 5u of heavily diluted polonium is just as deadly as 5u of pure polonium, right?
No, because of the dilution there’s less polonium in those 5 units, therefore, less effect. Chemicals don’t “mix”, if you diluted 1 part polonium with 4 parts water than a 5-unit cup drawn from that solution would have 1 unit of pure polonium and 4 units of pure water. Think in terms of actual liquids: heavily diluted coffee wouldn’t have the same taste as straight coffee. I’m not sure how else to describe it in theoretical terms, play around as a chemist or bartender following the wiki and I’m sure you’ll understand it better.
If something has 5u polonium and 5u water and you drink all of it it’d have the same effect as 5u polonium, if thats what you mean
this doesnt work if you have 5u antitoxin and 5u polonium for example however since anti toxin removes other chems
If you drank all of that mixture you would have drunk 5 units of water and 5 units of polonium, but if you only drank 5 units then you would have drunk 2.5 water and 2.5 polonium.
I said if you drink all of it
Yes, but his question was if a small amount of a diluted mixture had the same effects as the same quantity of a pure mixture.
Alright, thank you, I understand now :D.
What do the percentages mean? Polypore mushrooms say that it’s 6% sugar and 4% ethanol among others, but all those other reagents don’t add up to 100%. What does this mean and how much of what will I have in my mixture?
juice them and you will know
