Unable to drop a carried person

I lifted a person onto my back and had a cable coil in my free hand. I created two cable restraints from this which filed both of my hands. This filled both of my hand slots and I was therefore unable to drop the person I was carrying. I placed both the cable restraints into my backpack and switching between both of my hands the response was “You have nothing in your hands to drop”. Therefore i was stuck carrying a player with no way to drop them, this included throwing and “resting”. The player was finally released when someone else threw me.
