Haven’t read the entire thread and what I’ve read so far, don’t see too much metagrudge. But locking someone in the aux office for this is way too far. If anything you could’ve (note could’ve) tried to get sec to arrest them for inciting a riot:
I tried, but sec was busy with the cult. I asked about 3~ times over communications but they were unable to reach him with the cult assault going on, then Tcomms went down so I was unable to ask any further.
I had planned on bolting until security got there but security never did. My priorities shifted to the cultists shortly afterwards.

While you did claim you don’t want to hurt anyone, “I don’t want to start genocide, it is not my intention, but they are forcing our hands!” implies that you do actually intend to start genocide.
