So from my understanding it was Nuke Ops, Colorando late joins as an atmos tech, and immediately gets the fire axe. Kills an operative, and gets geared up from hallways, and makes it to departures all within 10 minutes.
Colorando then starts breaking the departures APC and throws a chair around for no reason. Bettonn passive pulls them away. Colorando seems to ignore it and starts breaking windows, further spacing an already maxcapped departures.

Since Colorando persists in trying to further space departures, Bettonn shoots them once with a lethal, then switches to disabler fire. I'm not sure if the lethal shot was intentional or not. I believe Colorando is disabled, but while the HOS is fighting off a birdbox gets control back and returns fire with lethal lasers.

I agree with the in game ruling that it is an in character situation. On a nuke ops round you late joined and started breaking the station even more for no reason. Yes it was already maxcapped so I wound not call it full self antag, but what was the reason for it to begin with?
The HOS pulled you away, and admittedly shot you once. Again though, on nuke ops there is a lot less room for doing dumb shit. I am not sure if the lethal round was intended or not, but there certainly wasn’t an intent to kill you until you shot them back.
The station was in code red as Ruko said, and you were doing dumb shit. Getting shot once with a laser is IC. The shootout that resulted was due to escalation. The only thing I’d say needs to be looked at here is why were you breaking space facing windows and an APC?
