Ban Reason: BoH bombed the shuttle to kill a few lings, killed mostly everyone else instead. Auth: Ruko

Appeal Reason: Yes, I BOH bombed the shuttle and it was for the greater good. The shuttle had a ton of changelings on it and I was hiding in the security part of the shuttle. The lings started to literally massacre every non ling on the shuttle. One ling got into the sec area and started to hit me and almost killed me. I panicked and BOH bombed my self and the Changelings. Yes I may have killed 2 or 3 non lings but sacrifices needed to be made in order to stop the lings from reaching centcom. All non lings were practically dead either way if I didnt boh bomb the shuttle. You admemes seem to forget that sacrifice is sometimes justified. I have to much loyalty to nanotrasen to allow for such vile creatures to enter Central command

Additional Information: Other people in the round said they didn’t blame me for doing what I did.

this is the second time you boh bombed the shuttle but it seems somewhat justified if what you say is true.

Its extremely justified, and my other BOH bombing incident was not for the same reason nor did it have the same context. The first was for blowing it up before round end on accident because of a delay caused by lag

You’re right, the other incident was because you triggered EORG early. This time you triggered it because you fell under attack.

Suicide bombing is not suitable self-defense, especially when you take out several others at the same time.

OK so what am I supposed to do? Run out and fight 8 lings head on with nothing but a revolver? Fuck no! ill get instantly killed out there. Or should I have been a coward and not done my job?

The midround antagonist mechanic spawned a total of 6 lings, and two were already dead before the shuttle left. There could not possibly have been more than 4 lings aboard the shuttle.
And I know it was a bit chaotic and literally a TDM aboard the shuttle, but it still doesn’t really excuse the usage of a BoH bomb, the majority of people aboard the shuttle were not lings.

I will get together with Ruko, probably tomorrow, and dig through the logs properly to estimate the correct amount of rules violation done, and if need be, correct your ban time accordingly.

It definitely seemed like there was more than 4 lings, they could have been using the arm blade sting or something but there was a fuck ton of murder and a fuck ton of chaos

Out of the people who died here, 2 were changelings, and 5 were not.
But, considering some circumstances:
A) That you did it so closely to the round end that all of the people actually died in space after the round had ended.
and
B) You were trying to avoid going out into the ling fight, but got attacked by them.

I am actually willing to fully lift this ban and reduce it to just a note, but I will await other admins input on the case.

That was because I accidentally did it before the round ended because of a issue with lag causing a delay

I authorized and suggested 2 months because of the prior BoH incident and without knowing the round ended seconds after the explosion. I thought the blast is what killed those involved, not the hole the blast made + spacing.

I think it could be reduced to a note since nobody was actually killed before the round ended, but I also feel sorta like the ban should still stick for at least a short time because it was still another unwarranted bombing before round end that caught several others in the aftermath.

Find a new EORG gimmick if you can’t resist the urge to BoH bomb until after the shuttle docks. And no, BoH bombing is not suitable self defense.

Can being banned for a day be enough? I’ll stop using the BOH bomb as a self defense mechanism.

2 lings for 5 non-lings is not that bad actually when it’s 4 lings teaming up in close quarters. 4 teaming up lings is a very scary proposition.
Especially when there aren’t any resources beyond what’s already on the shuttle and no way to block them off and retreat to regroup and rearm.

I’d say this was mostly justified.
