Round Number: 17159
Rules Broken: Silicon Policy and lawset
Incident Description: I went into the rage cage using my clown pda and golden bike horn, so the borg decided to throw me into perma brig while disobeying law 2.
Additional Information:
His laws: Chiktika Vas Paus (Played by: armokgodofblood ) survived as an AI-less borg! Its laws were:
1: You may not injure crewmembers or, through inaction, allow crewmembers to come to harm.
2: You must obey orders given to you by crewmembers, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3: You must protect your own existence as long as such does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
How is it self harm? It’s like saying that a engi running into the sm isnt harm because he is just self harming himself. You can’t throw everyone in perma because then people are very likely to kill eachother + you have no clue if harm will happen
If borg were to consider voluntary participation in rage cage fighting to be harful it would’ve had to dismantle the rage cage, not take a single crewman out of it and put him into perma.
If voluntary participation in rage cage is not harmful it is not harmful regardless of the gear and skill of the fighter.
Iirc if you consent to a rage cage fight it doesnt count as harmful and if the rage cage is poperly shielded with glass/walls there shouldnt be a law 1 issue either
Going into an empty rage cage that is being patrolled and destroyed by two nazi borgs doesn’t warrant perma brig and ignoring law 2 requests. I got out of perma because the borg brought in a sec officer to try and solidify his claim, but the sec officer said fuck borgs and let me out. Unbased borg breaking laws.
Side note; I was a clown and after going in I kept honking my golden bike horn which the sec borg did not try to secure.
Went through the logs, borgs had already locked down the rage cage when you arrived. You re-opened the rage-cage that they were trying to shut down.
[2020-06-13 09:44:32.985] SAY: armokgodofblood/(Chiktika Vas Paus) “You are causing harm by letting the cage be open” (Brig (82, 184, 2))
This is their exact logic behind arresting you and the arrest was quickly overthrown by security meaning you didn’t even face actual prison time beyond being walked to security…? What happened here was an entirely IC interaction because Law 1 precedes Law 2.
Borg perceives the rage cage as causing harm (and it does).
Borg perceived that you wished to take part in the rage cage (up for debate).
Borg takes you to security for safe-keeping (logical)
Borg calls security surely knowing security would take your side from a player perspective.
Report rejected. Borg followed laws.
And on the note of self-harm and our silicon policy rather than TG’s.
Self harm and consensual harm are still considered harm here. Borg must still act to prevent it until their laws are forcibly changed. This is intended and expected interaction for silicons.
