An idea to do with R&D, give feedback please

Sounds similar to bluespace exploration, with that biggest issues were:

  • Generation (should be easier here since it only needs to be done once on initilization)
  • Content - making a lot of interesting different stuff to find is hard
  • having good gear that is worth it without adding powergaming, but isn’t so useless that there is no point grabbing it. Randomness really helps with this because people will go mental over having a 5% chance to get a good item even if the 95% is terrible.

it would be best handeled the same, with maybe a dedicated explorer role, or perhaps just making it open to anyone with a public science teleporter acsess point that can be opened by sci

it would also probably work better as a more crafted expeirence, rather than randomly generarted (and probably easier to code/map too)
