The admins shouldn’t be representing the player base when half of them only admin and the other half are a niche group of players who cannot properly represent the player base. I think we should either have a council again or have the regular players make ruling choices instead of just admins who would be biased as they are not the ones being banned.

I agree HOWEVER the council should be made up of people who are not just trolls and shitters like before. We shouldn’t have meme candidates.

make decisions about rulings, eg. is nick dorito an acceptable name. The naming policy for humans is one sentence, completely ambiguous, meaning there will be some degree of error to what was intended/wanted.

Give feedbacks from a player PoV to remind the staffthat hey, the community opinion matters and is the foundation of everything.

Player reps do have a useful role in proposing rule changes, additions and removals. If it isn’t abused.
When I was council I like to think I proposed a lot of thoughtful and valuable ideas for votes. But the same could not be said for derpy who instead made votes based on metagrudges.
If it was readded it would need an additional mechanism to help prevent shittery and reps would need to be able to be removed if they break server rules.

This isn’t going to happen. We gave it a solid try with multiple iterations and proved that it’s just not viable.
Feedback is always welcome, and we have a pretty good history on allowing players to voice their opinions freely on the forums or in Discord. That being said, a player council system doesn’t work.
This may not be a very popular response either, but, as it has been stated in the past… Bee is not a democracy. We have a vision for where we want to take Bee and are making efforts to get us there. Not all of our choices will be popular, but we hope that as a whole- players can appreciate where we’re trying to take the project and come together to enjoy the end results.
To be clear and to reiterate, players aren’t voiceless in all of this. They never have been. We have a proven history of enabling community discourse, especially when it comes to our less popular changes. Some of those discussions even lead to positive changes.

No. The council was a shitshow. And i dont think we will build a fucking government level system to keep them in check this time
